S.Africa: Farm murder, young family brutalized, pregnant woman killed, Weenen

[Note: These do NOT appear to be whites who were murdered. These might be Indians. Jan]A savage farm murder took place on the evening of 4 July 2020, at Ayoobs farm outside Weenen, in the KwaZulu Natal province of South Africa. The family was attacked after three masked attackers gained entry through a kitchen window of the farmhouse. The entire family, including a pregnant woman, her husband and two young children aged four and eight were assaulted.
The woman, Zakiyya Ahmedjan (26) and the children ran into the kitchen after hearing a commotion where the armed attackers were in a struggle with her husband. The attackers grabbed Zakiyya dragged her into the bathroom and slit her throat.
Her husband has been admitted to hospital in a serious condition. The children whilst extremely traumatized were not seriously injured.
The farming community of Weenen are shocked and in disbelief at the attack of a well known family in the area. and There is no other information available at this stage.Police are investigating. There have been no arrests.
This is the third farm murder in two days in South Africa.
