S.Africa: Electricity outages – with varying intensity – Insanity of power problems

The last week or two we’ve had non-stop daily electricity outages. We have a minimum of 2 per day. The most I’ve had is 4 in a day.
I had to go to the traffic department for a fine. I’ve been there 4 times now. In 4 visits I only once got to someone who was working and had a working computer with access to their system. On another of the 4 visits the person had the day off. On 2 of the 4 visits the power was out.
When I went today, I was quite determined to not be turned away. So when I was told the power was out, I asked when it went out because I’d wait for it to come back on. I was then told that no, the power has been out SINCE YESTERDAY. There is no power!!!!
