[The information is vague and one cannot judge the race. My best guess, based on what I’m reading below is that this is a non-White. NW is the North West province. If this were a White person they would have used sleeping tablets or something like that. The strange nature of the poison which also then killed the children just adds to my suspicion that this was a black. However, I am curious as to what this poison was that it could kill others who merely inhaled it.A North West mother killed herself and her four sons after drinking poison near Coligny at the weekend.
The 38-year-old mother drank the poison following an argument with her husband on Saturday night.
The poison, which gave off a toxic gas, was inhaled by her four sons.
North West police spokesperson Adele Myburgh says the husband and two other sons are in a critical condition in hospital.
"The mother woke up during the night and allegedly drank poison and spread it throughout the house.
"As a result, the mother and her four sons died while the 35-year-old father and two sons, aged 8 and 17 were admitted to the hospital for medical treatment.
"Investigation into the matter continues."
