Everyone experiences the here and now of farm attacks and murders. After that, it’s just another day.
What remains in the background, however, is the pain and grief that the victims and close relatives have to endure. This leaves lifelong scars and wounds that never heal.

Today, 9 years ago, farm attacks became a reality for our family when my son Braam was shot and paralyzed trying to protect his wife and 4 sons!
After that, he fought hard to live a normal life and to come to terms with his new life in a wheelchair! Infections made him so sick at times, but he fought hard!
Unfortunately, I lost my hero and my only son on the 5th of October 2019!
I will always love you and will honor your life every year until it is my time to leave this earth!
