Barkly West Visible Policing and Kimberley Tactical Response Team followed up on information and arrested a male suspect with jewellery, a 7.65 Beretta and ammunition that was allegedly stolen at a house in Barkly West on the 24 December 2020.
The Christmas day arrest led to a second male suspect, who was also found in possession of an alleged stolen 9mm firearm. Both the adult male suspects were arrested and should be appearing in the Barkly Magistrates Court soon.
The Frances Baard District Commissioner, Maj Gen Johan Bean commended the SAPS members for their diligence and vigilant reaction that led to this great arrests during the ongoing Festive Season Operations.
