Vigilance by members of the SAPS Highway Patrol in Tshwane resulted in the arrest of three suspects, aged between 32 and 34, in Soshanguve on 3 January 2021, for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
The SAPS members were out patrolling along the R80 highway when they identified a Toyota Etios and attempted to do a stop-and-search, but the suspects sped off and a high-speed chase ensued. The SAPS members swiftly intercepted the suspects’ vehicle in Soshanguve.
Further investigation revealed that the Toyota Etios is positively linked to a stolen motor vehicle case reported at Brooklyn SAPS; the suspects were subsequently arrested.
