This is a story from Britain on my African Crisis Archive. Of course life was better under Apartheid, but nobody wants to admit that White rule was better. In 2023, Blacks are still realising this truth, but few dare say it.

A farm attack took place on Wednesday 18 August 2021, at 14:00, on a farm in the Bedford area, in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. A farmer, Roger Ferguson (81), heard glass breaking and went to investigate. As he exited the living room moving towards the front door an attacker opened fire on him.
Mr Ferguson retrieved his firearm from the bedroom and a shootout ensued.
In self defence Mr Ferguson returned fire on the attackers killing one of them. The other attacker fled into the bush.
The rifle used by the farmer was confiscated by the police.
A case of housebreaking, attempted murder and murder is under investigation.
All role players and the police responded but there were no further arrests.
There is no other information available at this stage.
