South Africa: Telephone systems often don’t work…

One fascinating thing I’ve noticed with many businesses, big and small in SA is that their telephone systems don’t work! And they have endless problems with these systems. They buy these things from businesses, but often these don’t work and you can phone a company and nobody answers.
I experienced this with my Dentist many times and yesterday I had it with a pharmacy.
But I’ve seen it all over. I suspect there is a “black” issue somewhere in there.
