[Just to show you the pure stupidity that we Whites have to put up with in this failing state of SA, look at this message that I just spotted on the community forum in our part of Johannesburg. It seems to me that the problem is that they don't have a dedicated pump to pump the water!! WTF? I don't care because I have my own water sorted out. Jan]Here’s the message:
Update on the water situation. Greenside and Emmarentia are also dry now. They are the lowest lying areas on this Hursthill water network. We need everyone to use water sparingly for the next 5-7 days to help the system recover. The issue is that Jwater can provide you with water subject to RAND Water supplying them. Jhb Water aren’t getting water to meet demand. RAND Water needs to sort out their power supply. They need to invest in a dedicated transformer for Eikenhof. This needs to be tackled at Provincial Level. I’m engaging with the MMC responsible in COJ on an ongoing basis to help you. Apologies again for the inconvenience.
