IMPORTANT: FROM JAN: THE CANADIAN GOVERNMENT CANCELLED MY VISA
You will remember that in April 2024, before I climbed on a plane to fly to the USA and Canada, that the US Government suddenly cancelled my VISA and I was prevented from climbing on a plane.

Some time late last night (saturday), my internet here went down. I logged a ticket with the company. They told me that the tower serving my area is without power.

I dashed off to a Portuguese shop nearby this morning, and was surprised to find that the shop had no electricity and they were running off a generator.

Yesterday, in the early evening, our area was also without electricity.

We’re in the midst of a "cold wave" (which would NOT be regarded as actual cold in Europe or Canada!). So I suspect there was an increase in the use of heaters, etc and that may have added to the problems. So the country, as usual, is breaking for problems that Europeans or North Americans would have solved with ease!!!!
