3. Ensure land expropriation includes fair market compensation.
4. Exempt U.S. businesses from BEE requirements

These demands were reportedly repeated multiple times to South African authorities

Is the U.S. Following Up?
U.S. Embassy action: In April, the embassy in Pretoria formally condemned the chant “Kill the Boer” as incitement to violence

Marco Rubio’s stance: In March, U.S. Secretary of State Rubio called the chant a “call to violence,” urging SA officials to act
