Here’s what my friend wrote to me about McCauley:

He was very much preaching to all people but as I was for awhile at his church, I think he started small, but a certain number of guys crept in his church, who had that marketing approach for making money, like some preachers in the states. He changed a lot over the time as money came in. He was only married twice. But I know his history very well.
When he started out after coming back from the States, where he was with Kenneth Hagins church, the queer community in Jhb offered him a lot of money if he would accept them in his church, he declined. But he was big with the person empowerment, Mandela and those guys…
