FROM JAN IN JOHANNESBURG: WHERE I LIVE WE HAVE HAD WATER PROBLEMS FOR DAYS

(005875.811-:E-000062.43:N-AC:R-SU:C-30:V)

Here are just a few messages between people in my area re water:

o JA other side still no water ??

o Power restored to northcliff

o Any news on water yet? Still out JA

o SC still out

o Do we have any updates on the water… BN still out… ????

o Same here

Thank goodness I dug my own well and I have my own little water tank and a pressure pump. When I saw the water pressure going down 2 days ago and water was hardly coming out of the tap, I switched on my pressure pump and I am happily using a lot of my own "home made" stuff to ensure I get water into my house under pressure and I can function.

I tell you, being without WATER is WORSE than being without ELECTRICITY. You miss it much quicker and it’s a big nuisance. All my water stuff, is literally stuff I hacked together, except for the latest stuff in my well, where a Boer sorted out my automatic float switches. That has made my life a breeze. It’s so freaking cool. My little tank is never empty.

But 90% of my setup is stuff I put together myself. I even dug the entire well. I really need to do a video about it some time. I can fix most of my own problems myself. The only thing I’m not keen on is climbing down the well any more. I used to do that.
