2008: General Colin Powell the racist. Colin Powell is supposedly a Republican but what a fence-sitter he is, and like with Oprah, they all just went and supported Obama because hes black.
[I mentioned on a White Man Chat that I loved reading James Herriot's stories as a teenager in Rhodesia. I never read Wilbur Smith's novels, but he was incredibly popular in South Africa and world wide. He wrote really fascinating novels based on African themes from a White man's perspective.
