A farm attack took place on the night of 26 December 2021, at 23:00 on the farm Zonneblom in Middelburg in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. Six armed attackers assaulted and tied up the security guards that were on duty and raided the farm.
The attackers broke into the home, workshop and office.
The attackers loaded all the stolen goods onto two bakkies, a white Toyota Land Cruiser with registration HJK 877 MP and a white Toyota Hilux with registration JWW 229 MP.
The attackers also took another two unregistered vehicles, a flat bed trailer and a large tipper and fled the scene.
The farmer and his wife were not on the farm at the time of the attack.
The attack and rescue of the security guards only happened at 05:00 on the morning of 27 December 2021. The guards were given medical assistance and all role players responded but there have been no arrests.
There is no other information available at this stage.
